Definition:
Your marketing mix is the combination of marketing elements and what role each element plays in promoting their products and services and the supply of these products and services to its customers.
The elements of the marketing mix
The elements of the marketing mix are the five P of marketing. For years, back to the dealer 4 Ps of marketing. More recently it has added a fifth P.
If you subscribe to the theory that there are four or five p P of marketing, it is called especially "marketing mix".
The 4 P of marketing mix
4 launch (although slightly renamed over the years), who were the elements of a marketing mix is P:
- Product - the goods or services for its customers: their physical properties, what they do, how they differ from the competition and what benefits they offer.
- Price - As the price of your product or service, so the price is competitive, but you can make a good profit.
- Place (distribution as known) - If your company sells products or services and how these products or services will be achieved for their clients.
- Promotion - The methods used to communicate the features and benefits of your products or services to your target customers.
The 5th P of Marketing
Some marketing theorists have added a fifth P of marketing of the elements of the marketing mix: People
If you give an element of the marketing mix to the 5 P refers to the way your level of service and the experience and skills of the people who can work for you may be used to differentiate from competitors.
Alias: 5 P of marketing; 4 Ps of marketing
Examples: marketing my business benefits of the original four Ps of the marketing mix - product, price, place and promotion - and the fifth P of marketing - people - to differentiate ourselves from the competition and better promote our services.
